Hi Unfortunately I do not speak German why will try in English.

  Our problem is that we have a German engine in which we need to be identified. It is found in the following link click http://www.rubens.se/index_de.html unidentified and there you will see an engine entitled Baumann

  I was into the clips from Youtube and located Auna Gütterlitz 2009, and the band saw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Y_aIY8Pk30 seems to have a similar engine as our unidentified engine.

  Is there somebody that can help me to get in contact with the owner of this band saw unit or anybody else that might know something

es wird wohl sehr schwierig werden diesen Motor anhand von Bildern zu idendifizieren. Ich kann hier leider nicht weiter helfen.

OK it might be tuff from the pictures, but to start somewhere, please help us get in touch with the Bandsag owner, or the organizers of the Auma Gütterlitz treffen.
Our engine has been equipped with wooden wheels named, L Baumann AG, LüBS IM.
Does any one recognize this firm?

The bandsag motor on the clip seems to be a Diesel whilst ours is having a magneto and electrical ignition. Otherwise they seems to be identical

I have noticed it says so from the video clip but could it be that they made the bandsag unit with some motor they bought from any body else? or is this, Christoph&Unmack Dieselmotor Mfg, a well known maker? All I find on Google is Housbuilding?

Where do we being able to read and learn more about their motorproduktion? If they were motor fabrikanten it must be possible to find catalogs, prospecte etc over thier production.
Is there any other motors by them known to exist?

Ich hoffe das ich das jetzt Richtig verstehe. Du Möchtest Infos über Christoph&Unmack haben?
Ich selber besitze einen Motor von dieser Firma. Ein video davon ist hier im Forum zu finden.
Wie du schon Richtig gemerkt hast,war diese Firme ein großer mich Konzern für seine Zeit. Sie haben unter anderm auch Häuser gebaut. Diese Musterhäuser sind auch heute noch erhalten.
Sie Bauten nur von mitte der 19 20er Jahre bis anfang der Krieges Motoren und Loks.der Sitz der Firma ist Nisky in Sachsen. Heute ist es die Firma
DB Waggonbau Niesky GmbH ,Am Waggonbau 11 D – 02906 Niesky

Hm ...Your engine seems to be far from ours in design. Is this your engine a later one from the 30-40th?

Do you know when the firma made non Diesel engines, like ours?

The former owner claimed it was from 1900 and running on technical Alcohol ( like biogas- Methanol) But I do not know really?

However it seems to suitable for Gasoline/kerosine

mein Motor ist von 1937.Er hat 35PSs.
Zu deiner frage. Man kann diese Motoren mit Petroleumum ,Gasoline/kerosine betreiben. Man muss dazu nur die Kompression ändern.Dies geschiehtet am Pleul in dem man die höhe vom Hub verändert.Ich habe von meinen Motor noch unterlagen da. vielleicht kann ich sie Kopieren oder ein Scannen.
